Web applications and portals
Client portals, booking systems and internal tools, with roles, permissions and audit logs.
Laravel for the UK
We are a Laravel development company for UK businesses, working remotely from Casablanca in UK hours. We build web applications, APIs and portals, upgrade and rescue older Laravel code, and hand over the repository. We scope and quote it after the first call and start within 3 to 5 business days.
Laravel in production
A Laravel development company should show Laravel it runs itself. We build and operate several products on it. RIVER ERP and RAIN Store are Laravel back ends with Vue front ends, and we still operate both. For UK clients we build the same way: a Laravel API, a Vue, React or Next.js front end, MySQL, Redis and Linux servers.
We work remotely from Casablanca, in English, with no UK office. Casablanca matches UK time in summer and is one hour ahead in winter, so pull requests get same-day review. See the UK hub for the exact overlap.
For the wider picture, read about our custom web development, RIVER ERP and RAIN Store. Larger scopes are covered under bespoke software development.
What we build
Six kinds of work, from a first build to a rescue.
Client portals, booking systems and internal tools, with roles, permissions and audit logs.
Documented REST APIs with authentication, rate limits and webhooks, linked to HMRC, Stripe and your other systems.
Invoicing, stock, purchasing and customer records, built as Laravel modules.
Checkout, refunds and signature-verified payment webhooks, as in RAIN Store.
Background jobs, imports and scheduled reports that run without anyone watching.
We audit an ageing Laravel app first, then upgrade PHP, the framework, packages and tests in stages.
Built for the UK
HMRC and tax. Software that files VAT returns through Making Tax Digital calls HMRC’s APIs with OAuth. It must also send fraud prevention headers with each request. In Laravel that becomes a service class, a queued job for each submission and a logged audit trail.
UK VAT has a standard rate of 20 %, a reduced rate of 5 % and a zero rate, so rates live in configuration, not in code. We test against HMRC’s sandbox and your accountant’s sample returns.
Privacy and security. UK GDPR turns into features: a subject access export, an erasure job, consent records, retention rules and audit logs on sensitive actions. Roles and permissions go in from the first sprint.
RAIN Store shows the pattern. It ships admin two-factor sign-in, per-route permissions, an audit log and a GDPR export.

FAQ
What UK teams ask before they hire a Laravel company.
Scope decides it. Custom projects start at $10,000, in US dollars, with a fixed price and milestones set up front. After a discovery call we scope and quote it, then start within 3 to 5 business days.
Yes. We audit the code first: PHP and Laravel versions, packages, tests and security. Then we stabilise or upgrade it in stages, so the app keeps running.
A retainer gives you dedicated capacity, a shared roadmap and priority support, billed monthly. At the quote we tell you what capacity fits your scope.
Yes, as custom work. The integration uses HMRC’s APIs with OAuth and fraud prevention headers. We test it with your accountant’s sample returns before launch.
Yes. Casablanca matches UK time in summer and is one hour ahead in winter. We hold calls in your morning and review work the same day.
You do. At handover you receive the repository, the documentation and a walkthrough, so another developer can continue the work.
Next step
Book a call in your UK morning. Tell us whether it is a new build or an existing app, and we scope it, quote it and start within 3 to 5 business days.
