E-invoicing, DATEV, GoBD
We build custom ERP software for German businesses, remotely, from Casablanca, in English. Invoicing, stock, purchasing and finance live in one system you own, with German e-invoicing, DATEV export and GoBD rules written into the scope.
ERP software for Germany
ERP software for a German business must do more than invoice and count stock. It has to issue a valid e-invoice, keep digital books that an auditor accepts and feed your tax adviser’s DATEV system. We build custom ERP software around those rules, remotely, from Casablanca, in English, one module at a time.
Be honest about the fit. If your business is standard and a platform such as SAP or Odoo already covers it, buy that. You get local support and a local partner network. A custom build makes sense when your process is unusual, when per-user licences are the problem, or when you want the code and the data on a server you control.
RIVER ERP is our ready-made, self-hosted ERP, an Odoo alternative with 23 modules. Its tax, payroll and chart of accounts are Moroccan, so for Germany we treat the German parts as custom modules. Our custom ERP development page explains how a build runs, and the Germany hub covers the wider rules.
German requirements
Check each line with your tax adviser. We write the result into the scope.
| Requirement | What applies in Germany | What we build or scope |
|---|---|---|
| E-invoicing | Every business can receive e-invoices since 1 January 2025. Sending becomes mandatory between businesses from 1 January 2027 (turnover above €800,000 in the previous year) and from 1 January 2028 for everyone. | Create and validate XRechnung and ZUGFeRD invoices, and read incoming ones. |
| Digital books (GoBD) | Entries must be complete, traceable and unchangeable once posted. Tax auditors can ask for data access. | Posting locks, an audit trail and an export for auditors. |
| Tax adviser (DATEV) | Most German tax advisers work in DATEV. German accounts follow the SKR03 or SKR04 chart. | A DATEV-format export and a mapping to your chart of accounts. |
| VAT | 19 % and 7 %, the VAT ID (USt-IdNr.), the EU reverse charge and the One-Stop Shop for consumer sales. | Tax codes, VAT ID checks and report data for your adviser. |
| Payroll | Social insurance, tax classes and church tax make German payroll a specialist job. | Not built by us. We connect your ERP to a payroll provider. |
How a rollout runs
One module at a time, so the business keeps running.

Each module is listed with its cost and timeline. We scope it, quote it and start within 3–5 business days.
Short cycles with working software to review. Customers, products and balances are imported and checked.
Invoices, e-invoice files and DATEV exports are checked against examples from your adviser.
Hosted and backed up by us, or handed to your team with the code and a walkthrough.

FAQ
What businesses in Germany ask before they commission an ERP.
We quote after a discovery call, because modules, users and integrations drive the scope. Custom projects start at $10,000, scoped up front with a fixed price and milestones. We start within 3–5 business days, and the price stays fixed once accepted. Prices are in US dollars.
Not always. A standard business with a local partner usually does best on a standard platform. Custom ERP software fits unusual processes, licence-cost problems and owners who want the code and data on their own server. We tell you plainly which case you are.
Yes, as custom work. RIVER ERP already writes UBL 2.1 e-invoices for the Moroccan tax authority, and XRechnung can use UBL as its syntax. The German rules, validation and test files are still new work, scoped and tested with you.
We build a DATEV-format export and map your accounts to SKR03 or SKR04. We agree the exact export with your adviser first, because the details depend on how that firm sets up DATEV.
Yes. We host on the provider you choose, including a data centre in Germany or elsewhere in the EU, or hand the system to your own provider. We agree the region before any customer data is stored.
Casablanca shares your clock in winter and is one hour behind in summer, one team covers audit, build and hosting, and you own the code at handover. If you need German-language support or an on-site partner, a local integrator is the better fit.
