Accounting package
Invoices, payments and journal entries flow to Exact Online, AFAS, Twinfield or Moneybird through their APIs, so your accountant keeps working in the tool they know.
Trade and logistics
We build custom ERP software for Dutch businesses, remotely, from Casablanca, in English. It runs stock, purchasing, sales and finance in one system, and it connects to the accounting package, payment provider and carriers you already use.
ERP software for the Netherlands
ERP software for a Dutch business usually has to live next to other systems: an accounting package, a webshop, a payment provider and a customs agent. We build custom ERP software that connects to those instead of replacing them, remotely, from Casablanca, in English, one module at a time.
If your accounting package already does what you need, keep it. Exact Online and AFAS are mature products with local partners. Add a custom ERP only for what they do not cover: your stock flows, your pricing rules, your portals and your integrations.
RIVER ERP is our ready-made, self-hosted ERP, an Odoo alternative with 23 modules. Its tax, payroll and chart of accounts are Moroccan, so a Dutch BTW set-up would be custom work. Our custom ERP development page explains how a build runs, and the Netherlands hub covers the wider rules.
Connections
Each one is agreed with your accountant before the build.
Invoices, payments and journal entries flow to Exact Online, AFAS, Twinfield or Moneybird through their APIs, so your accountant keeps working in the tool they know.
iDEAL, cards and SEPA direct debit through Adyen, Mollie or Buckaroo. Each payment is matched to its invoice, so open items stay accurate.
Codes for 21 %, 9 % and 0 %, reverse charge, and the data for your BTW and ICP returns.
UBL invoices for public-sector customers, sent over Peppol through an access point, with test files checked before go-live.
Decision
Both routes work. The right one depends on where the pain is.
| Question | Add a custom ERP next to it | Replace both with one ERP |
|---|---|---|
| Best when | Your books work, but stock, pricing or portals do not. | Your processes are unusual and the package fights you every month. |
| What stays | Your accounting package and your accountant’s routine. | Nothing. The ERP keeps the books too. |
| Main risk | Two systems to keep in step, so the connection must be tested well. | A bigger migration and a longer rollout. |
| How it goes live | One module at a time, starting with the pain point. | Modules in stages, with the ledger last. |
Trade and logistics
Goods in. Purchasing, receiving and stock by warehouse, batch and serial number. Dutch importers can hold an Article 23 licence, which defers import VAT to the BTW return, so the ERP must post import documents accordingly. Check the detail with your customs adviser.
Month-end. BTW return data, the ICP list for sales to other EU businesses and an audit file for your accountant. The XAF audit file (XML Auditfile Financieel) is common in Dutch accounting, so we agree the format with your accountant at the start. We prepare the data. We do not file your returns.
How a rollout runs
One module at a time, so the business keeps running.
We map your documents, flows, roles and tools, then agree what goes live first.
Each module is listed with its cost and timeline. We scope it, quote it and start within 3–5 business days.
Short cycles with working software. Connections to your accounting package and payment provider are built early.
BTW codes, ICP data and audit files are checked against examples before go-live.
Hosted and backed up by us, or handed to your team with the code and a walkthrough.

FAQ
What businesses in the Netherlands ask before they commission an ERP.
The price follows the modules, the number of users and the connections you need. Custom projects start at $10,000, scoped up front with a fixed price and milestones. After a short discovery call we quote it and start within 3–5 business days, and the price stays fixed once you accept it. Prices are in US dollars.
Usually, yes. Both publish APIs. We check what each one allows during scoping, build the connection early and test it on real data with your accountant.
Yes. We connect iDEAL, cards and SEPA direct debit through a provider such as Adyen, Mollie or Buckaroo. Each payment is matched to its invoice, and open items update automatically.
It can post the right BTW codes, produce the data for your BTW and ICP returns and handle reverse charge. Import VAT under an Article 23 licence changes how import documents are posted, so we agree it with your adviser before the build.
Not always. If one of them already fits your trade flows, use it. A custom ERP pays off when your stock, pricing or portals need rules a package cannot hold. We tell you plainly which case you are.
On the provider you choose. That can be a data centre in the Netherlands or elsewhere in the EU, or your own provider after handover. We agree the region before any customer data is stored.
